Dear God.
Just sharing a bit of what’s been on my heart lately. I hope it’s helpful to you as well, and feel free to reply and let me know what is going on with you. —Jay
I wanted to thank you for your kindness towards me. Throughout my life you’ve guided my steps. You have forced me to walk in themes; gently prodding me to deal with sin or wrong thinking or wrong beliefs or to bring areas that need healing to light. You relent when I struggle but always return to try again. You truly are kind, LORD.
You know the desires of my heart Lord. Maybe you’ve even placed them there. They are sometimes shrouded in fear or I withdraw in fear or shy away from what you have for me because I feel so unworthy at times. But God, I desire that you would help me break through these self-imposed limits.
I pray that you would fill me with the Holy Spirit - Lord, I’ve seen how it changed the lives of the Apostles and how bold and fearless they became. Father, would you please fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Lord, shatter the false beliefs I have, overwhelm me with courage, pour out your blessings and abundant life on me.
Lord, cast out laziness, fear, procrastination. Do not let perfectionism have a say. Let DOING be my default. And Lord may you get the glory.
Father I give my life to you. Forgive me my sin and thank you for the blood of Jesus Christ and my faith that in Him alone there is forgiveness of sin and that because of him I will one day enter your kingdom. --Amen.
