Who Are You To Be Used By God?
I know it’s hard to imagine that God has a part for you to play.
We are so afraid of failing, of looking foolish, of proving everyone right that we push the desires that God has placed in our hearts (Ps. 37:4) to the back of the closet. Buried beneath a trove of things people have said or done to us.
No one likes to admit it, but we are a fragile people. Our souls are too easily wounded by mean or ill-timed comments. So much so, that we learn to settle or play it safe.
“Who are you to be used by God?” Well, let me remind you...
You were called to fill and subdue the world and all that is in it (Gen. 1:28)
You were knit together in your mother’s womb, and are fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps. 139:13 & 14)
You’ve been called out of darkness, into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)
You are loved so much, that He gave his one and only Son, that by believing in him you might have eternal life. (John 3:16)
You are His workmanship (His Poem), created for good works, which God prepared for you to walk in. (Eph. 2:10)
You are more than a conqueror (Rom 8:37)
So if you are looking for an invitation or permission to be used by God, here it is. The world is waiting for you to share your gifts. Get after it.
For I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jer. 29:11)
